Not exactly sure if this is an IE or OE or Windows problem so please forgive if this is the wrong forum.

When I attempt to send a webpage using the Internet Explorer mail icon, it opens a new mail in my Outlook Express but it attaches it and doesn't embed it as it should. I've checked my OE settings for html mail sending format and that's okay...checked my IE settings in Programs and that's okay. I'm using IE6 and OE6 with Win98SE. Worth noting maybe, when I do try to send a webpage, it attaches itself as I mentioned but it's got a little windows media player icon attached with it so I checked my file extensions and that's a dat file that is set to open with windows media so I sent myself a test email with a webpage and of course it's attached and then when I tried to open it, it opened with windows media player, lolol Can't read a webpage that way! May be the problem??? I have no idea...can someone please help? Thanks so much!!!

nmpoet - Welcome to the Board :)

For one reason or another my IE does not have a Mail icon, so my route would be ....

File > Send > Page by email. This embeds the web page in an email and works just fine for me.

If it doesn't work for you I suggest a Repair of IE/OE ....

In 98SE go Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > MS Internet Explorer > Change/Remove and select the repair option in the dialogue box which appears.
