Hi, I just wonder if anyone is using extra software to operate their USB Keys
Flashdrives or whatever names they have.
Reason I ask is I was looking at a "Windows XP Magazine and on the front cover it was recomending Software USB Key Manager software to easily manage all types of USB Key drives.
I run XP Pro and just stick them in and I don't seem to have any problems.
But who knows anyone here to give advice on this one.
    regards

i'd stick with what works rather than adding in another layer of software

Most of this kind of software is for encrypting or compressing data.

That is the one Pete, what is your opinion about it, I sort of can't quite work out if this application is very usefull or not, under what circumstances would it come in very usefull.

I looked at it and concluded it was very much OTT unless you have several pen drives that you need to keep track of. Seemed to be a glorified cataloguing system with a few other facilities thrown in.
