I installed the weather station and it worked perfectly, located to the right of my URL box. The other day I went to Firefox, the station was gone. Now when I start Firefox, I get the box for the wqeather station options but I can not get the location set or will it reappear next to the URL box. What do I do to reinstall it or remove it, because the box popping up is annoying.

There is a lot of room in the Menu bar, i.e. on the top toolbar, and although it comes with some default settings, it is mostly up to you to find a home. There a "display placement" from which you have six choices, from the dropdown.

It isn't a question of room, it simply does not appear on any bar I specify. And it has created a mess of all my bars because I now have empty spaces on all bars with nothing in them and I do not seem to be able to eliminate them. How do I uninstall the weather station? Even if I uninstall it I will still have a mess, but at least I won't get the option box appearing every time I start Firefox.

I just typed "about:plugins" and weather station does not come up. What does that mean? I can't get rid of it?

    ackerberg,

Accuweather is an extension, and not a plugin, so it won't appear in the about:plugins page. Click on Tools | Extensions, and you will see the extension listed there. To uninstall, click on the listing, in order to highlight, then click the Uninstall Tab.

Many thanks Ramona. I did uninstall it as you indicated, and that solved the problem. Somehow the file became corrupted and it was not usable on my computer.

Glad all is well now, ackerberg. It seems to be a troublesome extension, and you're certainly not alone in having problems.

Yes I know as I have 0.7.9 installed on my Mozilla Suite 1.7.8 and there is no uninstall script to get rid of it. Was told that down the line in version .9 that they plan to have a uninstall script for the Mozilla Suite. Very exasperating to get rid of and the information here is not very accurate.

I have never tried to remove it in Mozilla, but I think that there is more than one way to handle it. But, I would not bother, unless there is a serious problem.
Did you see the roadmap? . I will stick to what I have until it quits.

Yes, I did take a look at the Road Map and read were a uninstall script was to be written in later but not before I had updated from 0.7.1 to the 0.7.9 -- should have never done that. Ha

But, it also indicates that a new version will come out every other week or so.

I was going to say "gobigred ", but they are gone.
I wonder how many people understand what I am saying.

I was hoping they would win at least this one . A lot of tough calls and a few errors.
