I just completed (and rebooted) updating the following items:

Now I cannot receive e-mail in Outlook.

It worked fine until I did this update. Are there known problems with any of these updates and Outlook?
I did check online with my e-mail account and it was working fine - I could send and receive, so I know it isn't Comcast...this time. ;)

Thank you for any help you can give!
    Robin

    Hello Robin,

The only suggestion I have is to remove the updates one at a time, finding the culprit that way - the likeliest being the one for IE I would think. They each should have Add/Remove entries - criticals always do, or should, and each should have created restore points, although I'm not sure because I NEVER do multiple updates at one time simply to avoid the quandry you're in now. I'll at least wait a couple of days between to see the effects.

So if each has created a restore point, after the individual removal, do a system restore using the SR point it created and test and then move on to the next one if no joy.

BTW, it may not be any individual patch, but interactions among them and your system.

    Regards - Charles

Doesn't sound like much fun....maybe I'll use GoBack and then reinstall one at a time - waiting a few days between like you suggested (just a shade better than removing them one at a time and then reinstalling them if it's not the problem)

    Thanks!

    I have just one question.

Why so many updates all at once ?

I have not seen more than 1 or two for ages.

well this sounds like a good idea, and it might fix my problem, but i'm a little concerned about uninstalling the updates. last night when this started that was my first thought, just uninstall and go about my buisness, but i have a friend who said they tried uninstalling some updates and it messed up their computer so bad they had to reinstall windows.

so, is this safe? becuase i don't have a install disk for windows. my computer didn't come with one.
