missing toolbar

    A friend of miine is missing the file edit view etc. toolbar and me or him dont know how to get it back any ideas. you can view a screen shot here www.ckcomputing.com/help.jpg

    That is the main toolbar and can not be changed.
    I think you have your registry with problems...
    Did you install some application before that?

    He hasnt installed anything recently he was chatting to a friend and noticed it was gone

    explore has the toolbar, right click start button explore also does and, so does internet explorer

    Weird...

    Only suggestion I'd have is to run sfc /scannow from a command prompt, in case a system file got altered.

    I see Pete beat me to the button. :) The fixes are the same, different places but it's still "ToolbarRepair.exe ". I hope this does the trick.
