IBIS/Hunt Toolbar Reg Key

    Xoftspy has detected a registry key on my computer for data miner IBIS/Hunt Toolbar.

    How can I remove this permanently?

    According to this page, Xoftspy should be able to remove it. If not, there are manual removal instructions on that page.

    Thank you for your reply. I've removed the item 4 times through Xoftspy - it just keeps coming back.

    I will try the manual instructions and hope I don't mess anything up!

    Just back up your registry and double check the entries before removing them. You'll do just fine. Give us an update when you finish.

    When something is removed, and it reappears, that is a good indication you have something else on your system.
    MinnesotaMike's link is a good one, but I rarely see a system with WinTools that didn't have something else along with it.

    Would you post a HijackThis log?
