Can anyone tell me how to allow cookies for ebay via firefox? I've allowed all cookies but ebay still will not function due to cookies not being allowed.

This may be another case when the website is not allowing cookies to be used. I would, first, check what's in Tools|Options|Privacy|Cookies. What are your settings there? You may want to enter to allow ebay.com in the Exceptions.
I have had to do that to by-pass some Spyware program with other programs. I know that eBay can be tricky.

Look in your options and see your ebay cookies. I have 6 cookies there. Tools/Options/Privacy/Cookies/View cookies. I have it set for "Allow sites to set cookies" and "from originating site only ".

You might try removing all ebay cookies, then go back to ebay and allow it to set the cookies again.

    Bill,

Followed your steps...didn't work....still saying the browser you are using is rejecting cookies.

    Any other suggestion?

That was pretty much what I know about cookies. Sorry. Ramona or JSS3rd will be along directly and probably give you a good answer.

Have you tried the Firefox safe mode from the start menu. It will start FF with no extensions running and you can eliminate them as being a problem. How about trying making a different profile just for drill to eliminate your profile as being the problem. Then there is always the standard un-install and re-install solution.

It might be wise to wait. Ramona is usually chimed in by the early afternoon.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Bill. :) I wish I could give Elaine an answer, but I'm afraid she might have to wait for Ramona.

I have both cookie options checked, and I allow Firefox to keep cookies until they expire. I have ten eBay cookies set, and eBay is not in the Exceptions list. For whatever it's worth, I've never had any trouble with the eBay site.

Elaine, Bill might have a point about extensions. Do you have any installed that have anything to do with cookies? Extensions can do funny things, in an unintended manner ... I discovered, just an hour or so ago, that the AdBlock Plus 0.5.7 extension was preventing me from seeing some things that had absolutely nothing to do with ads. Fortunately, I was able to whitelist the sites in AdBlock's preferences, and can now view the pages properly.

    Elaine,

I have to say no problems here with eBay cookies, and so far you've been given good advice.

Your best bet is to add eBay to your "Exceptions" list. I've never had to do so, but if you have removed extensions, deleted dBay cookies, and neither worked, then try adding to Exceptions list.

If none of these workarounds work, then try creating a new Profile, log in at eBay, and if you can, then it is a corrupt Profile.
