how do i get my nvidia geforce to show back in systemtray

sunday i exit everything i could in systemtray and paused task scheduler because i didnt want scandisk yelling at me because it had to restart 10 times because something was running. so i decide that i am also going to run it safe mode just to make certain well that didnt work, scandisk is starting over i can see it so i cancelled and brought it back up in regular and noticed that the nvidia was not there where it should be. paused the scheduler and scanned disk and went into defrag with no problems. restarted and still no nvidia in systray. went to msconfig and everything to do with nvidia was checked. even tried unchecking and rechecking still nothing. where is it and how do i get it back? id really like it back since netscape insists on changing resolution to the 1028x whatever and i could click on the nvidia and change it now i have to go to desktop and to it thur properties (settings) okay just say that im lazy. i am and i want nvidia back in systemtray where it belongs

 

Go to control panel/display/settings/advanced.

Under one of the tabs there should be a checkbox to show icon in system tray. Check it and it should be back.

On Scandisk... Boot in safe mode to run scan disk.
