Internet explorer has stopped working after installing last upgrade , I am still able to log in to hotmail and use my account , but none of my friends can check there e-mail at hotmail anymore .

Just a bit of clarification... Are you able to hit other websites after the upgrade or are you just able to access hotmail?

As far as the login problems, it sounds like you have the hotmail website automatically log you in when you access it. You need to select log out and when you log back in it asks if this is a shared computer, personal computer, or neither... select neither and it will prompt you to enter your username and password each time you log in. You may also want to clear the cookies on you computer to allow this to work.
