To upgrade a Radeon 9000Pro AGP to a Sapphire 9600XT AGP (both ATi brand), is it ok to just swap cards? Or do you still have to uninstall the old drivers and install Catalyst all over again?

Just so that you do not run into the problem I did when I thought the same with Nvidia cards.

Even though they are both ATI does not mean they use the same drivers.

    Uninstall and re-install.

You can try just swapping, I did that with my 9800 pro and X800 pro all the time when overclocking and testing, but sometimes it doesnt work. So naturally the best course of action would be to install fresh drivers as well.

It may work just swapping, but it may not work 100%.

I think we all agree that you should install fresh drivers...Better than changing them later and finding it runs a WHOLE lot better.

In case you didn't know, there is an unistall in Add/Remove programs.
