    Dear Friends,

Trying to remove a directory with nothing in it. Not even anything hidden. And I keep getting a message that it cannot be deleted because it may be in use by another program but I cannot find which other program and I don't really care. Is there a way I can delete it with something? Thanks! Hava a good one!!

    JJ

XP has its own idea about certain folder and even though they are apparently empty and seemingly useless, they cannot be deleted.

Case in point; the Xerox folder and its subfolder nwwia found in the C:\Programs folder.

Please supply the name of your folder and we'll see what can be done. There are ways to get it done if the folder isn't hard coded into the system.

    Music_Videos

Thanks for your input. The path of the directory is something similar to:
    c:\documents and settings\user1\my documents\my music\itunes\music\Music_Videos

    Hope that helps! Thanks. :)

Start by deleting the Temporary Internet Files. Just right click the IE icon and select Properties. Then click the "Delete Files" button.

    Then try deleting that folder.

Jim, I'll give that little tool you posted a try. It looks to be useful for the stubborn times that aren't as easy as this one was. I'll add that to the long list I have compiled for deleting the "Undeletables. "

    Thanks.
