Just since I downloaded and installed the MSN desktop search tool everytime I close Outlook 2000 (SR1) I get the Outlook closed unexpectantly dialog box. It doesn't seem to hang anything up, but it is a nuisance. Has anyone else seen this? I guess I could do a Sys restore and blow away the Desktop search tool, but I thought it might be nice to have. Has anyone else had good or bad experience witht he desktop search?

How large is your .pst file? When pst files reach the 2gig limits it can cause all sorts of problems.

The ,pst file is about 66 Mb.

The problem started immediately after installing the desktop search.

I also notice that the desktop search does not find any search criteria matches in Outlook e mails.

I have re indexed the desktop search index, leaving OUtlook open. Didn't seem to help, though.
