    Hello,

I've recently upgraded to XP Pro (don't know if that's anything to do with the problem), and now, when I click on 'Update Album Info' in WMP10 it does nothing.

    Any suggestions?

    Ta.

    Yes thanks.

    Read it yesterday.

    Utterly useless, as usual.

LOL, ok, outside of that, why don't you roll it back to version 9 - the FAQ does tell how to do that. You can always upgrade again.

    Regards - Charles

While I know virtually nothing detailed about wmp features/options, this is my kids area of expertise, perhaps googles "media player groups" list will help you. You may wish to look through these at your leisure. They may offer some known bug or work around:
This list is generic to all versions: (has 700 plus topics/posts)
    http://groups-beta.google.com/group...LD,GGLD:2005-17,GGLD:en&q=Update+"Album+Info"

This list is paired down to 22 when keyword filter of wmp10 is added "
    http://groups-beta.google.com/groups?ie=UTF-8&q=Update+"Album+Info"+wmp10

This list has 33 posts and is from googles "web" search tab versus the "Groups ". They have additional information not found doing a "groups" search:
    http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q="update+Album+Info"+wmp10&meta=

Sorry that the above ^ is the best I can do for you. I have not even prescreened the posts. I wouldn't know if the information was useful or not. As I explained, this is something others in my household do. I just click and play. If you do find something useful, please remember to share any fix you find. I hope it helps.

    Getting really frustrated now.

I'm not sure I ever had WMP9 on the machine. It's only about a year old. So I go into add/remove progs as instructed, and it quite happily removes it for me, yet when I click on the icon there it arsing well is.

    Bl**dy David Gates!!
