Can you help? I have windows xp. It boots up untill it gets to the loading screen and then goes blank. If I start up in safe mode it gets to multidisk partition 1 windows\system32\drivers\mup.sys and will not go any further, same with command prompt. I cannot restore. Is there any way I can resume without formatting the hard drive?

    problem

Flash your bios if you can get it to boot. If not, try resetting CMOS
Take your battery out for 5mins, put it back in then restart, it should work.
