    b0ggy--
    1) Try another keyboard.
    2) Take off the key cap for A and clean in that area with a Q-Tip and a little water or isopropyl alcohol.
    3) Right click on My Computer|Properties|Hardware|Device Manager|click + next to Keyboard|right click on Keyboard shown|Properties. Is Keyboard working properly? Can you Update Drivers? I would suggest Uninstalling Keyboard and rebooting if nothing else works, but you will have to learn how to Shut Off the PC without the keyboard.

Lol, perhaps I used copy and paste.

Thanks, I tried reinstalling driver and installing a different driver but to no avail. There isn't any probelm with the keyboard because the on-screen keyboard doesn't work as well. So thus there is something wrong hardware drivers; maybe I have to dig deeper. Whats funny is that, when on caps lock the uppercase A doesn't work!

Just for laughs, try a command session and see how the "a" and "A" works or doesn't. That should tell you if the keyboard chip is functioning properly. This may be a MOBO chip failure. :(
