sending mail fromO.E 6 fails although can receive ?

When I try to send mail fromO.E 6 /winxp it fails but can receive is it because of Norton Anit virus is checked for email enabling scannning incoming mail for virus as when I did disable this it is working , can anybody put light on this whether it is true.

If you say that after disabling Norton's you're able to send and receive...then I would think you've found your culprit?
Try uninstalling and re-installing and see if that fixes up your problem?

Didn't you say that when you disabled NAV that your email worked properly? If so...yes....uninstall it..and re-install it.
