I've had a lot of strange things happen with ME but this is a new one. Lately, after I've been on and on line for maybe 20-30 minutes my screen will go blank (black) the system will shut down and usually reload Windows with out any intervention by me. Is there anywhere I can look to find more info on this "bug" ? I recently installed a V92 Modem but it ran a couple of weeks before this started.

    See my post today.
Just a thought, could this have anything to do with a recent update?

If I understand your question the OS is ME and I did run a NAV scan. One time it came up with five copies of a trojan which I think wa called Byte Verify. NAV deleted them and after having the shutdown again I ran the virus scan again and it was clean.

    possible solution?

    See my post today.
My modem was linked through a USB splitter box, found two of the ports caused the problem with anything plugged into them and live, other two, ok.
If you're linked this way try changing the port.
If you're linked direct to your phone line, try changing the connecting lead or even plug into another phone socket to see if that works better, could just be a wiring fault!
    Hope this helps

Blank, or off? This sounds like a classic example of the processor overheating, the computer suddenly pops off and reboots. The cure for this is merely some dusting, inside and out.
