In OE, I could click on an item in "sent mail ", click on "properties ", and get a listing of all BCC recipients of that item. Can't find a way to do that with Thunderbird (1.0.2).
Is there any way of finding this info out in TB?

    rebecca,

As long as you were the one to add the BCC addresses, they are visible to you in the sent email. I just tried a test email with BCC and all the addresses can be seen when I go to the sent folder. Just click the email and look at the addresses.

Thanks, Mike. Maybe there's a setting I need to change on how my emails display in my Sent folder? The only address that shows up on mine is the "To:" one (i.e., mine) - no BCCs. Any suggestions?

I do not see any settings that would affect this. Are you seeing the complete heading for the email? I see a Subject, From, Date, To, and BCC line on my header. Do you see these also?

The heading for my sent email shows Subject, From, Date, and To. No BCC, though (and I know for a fact that these particular emails had BCCs, because I've had feedback from some of the recipients)...

    Rebecca,

I just can't think of anything to try. I'm not sure what is going on. If it were me, I would remove Firefox, download again and reinstall. Then download the BCC extension again and install it. I got my extension from here.

Sorry I can't help you any further.

I am using a nightly, which has all the good stuff, and I sent a test message to one of my e-mail addresses as cc:, and bcc: to another. I usually use View|Message Source, which should give you the same info as properties, and I see the cc: address, but not the :bcc, which shows as ", and no more. Nothing got to the address in question. Of course, I may have made a mistake. Or, everything gone to pot.

Man, my computer is FULL of mysteries these days!
Last night it occurred to me that maybe the fact that I was using my OE address book (you know how TB gives you a choice of using "Personal Address Book ", "Outlook Express Address Book ", or "Collected Addresses "?), rather than the default TB one (Personal Address Book), had something to do with my BCC recipients not showing up in my Sent Mail.
This morning, when I read your last reply, Mike, I thought the difference between you being able to see your BCCs and my not being able to do so might have something to do with the fact that you're using a BCC extension - I just hold down the Ctrl button, highlight all my desired recipients, and then right-click on "Add to BCC field" (i.e., I don't have a particular extension to do the job).
Thought I'd do some more experimenting, and when I went to check my Sent Mail afterwards, lo & behold, now the BCC list is right there, after Subject, From, Date, and To, just as you originally stated (including on all the emails I was looking at yesterday, which did NOT show any BCCs then!). I haven't touched any Thunderbird settings at all, so who knows what prompted the change, but as long as it's a permanent change, I'm pleased!
Westside, it also works for me the way you suggested, when I click on an email in my Sent Mail folder - so now I have another way to check, in case the aforementioned change isn't permanent. Thanks for that!

In the spirit of "If you show me yours, I'll show you mine ", here's mine, in the attached image. The clip was taken from a message in my "Sent" folder. If I click on the little + sign beside Bcc: it shows everyone to whom the message was sent.

Rebecca, here's another option: Right-click on any sent message, either open or closed, and select "Edit As New... ". All recipients will be listed.

Edit: It doesn't matter whether the "Add Bcc Button" extension is installed, or not. I just uninstalled the extension, and the results are identical.

    Rebecca,
Glad to hear the addresses are back. Hopefully, they will stick around for you. It's hard to say what happened overnight.

    Jim,
Strange that your BCC has a + sign next to it for more then one address. I sent my test message to 4 addresses and did not have a + sign. I would have to have allot of addresses listed to get that + sign. Hey, as long as it works. Go figure.

    Hi Mike,

When I send BCC messages, up to three recipients show on the Bcc: line. The + sign doesn't appear unless there are four or more.
