Does anyone know if you can specify no default account when using Outlook 2000. I have several e-mail accounts and would prefer to be prompted each time I send an e-mail and then choose which account I was actually sending a particular message via.

    Thanks,

    Rob

You "are" currently using the drop down menu option to select the account when sending aren't you?

Yes, but I often forget to use the drop down and just hit send - Outlook then uses the default account.

Hmmmm, I just looked at customizing the toolbar for a new message and see there is an option to add a button "Send Using ". This appears to be my answer, as although there is a default account, you are forced to choose an account before it will send.

you can create several profiles for your email accounts, and u can enabled the profile selection at outlook startup, then u can choose different profiles with different email accounts.
first, set your outlook to the "company & workgroup" mode.
