On Saturday, I lost function of radio buttons on my pc. If I go to a web site like map quest or yahoo, the get directions buttons and search buttons no longer work. I have run a full system scan with Norton, Ad Aware, Spy Bot, reset my internet options and security settings, shut off my pop up blocker and firewall, and NOTHING is working. ANy suggestions?

Is it just in your web browser that the problem occurs? I take it you are using Internet Exploer, if you are download another browser to try like firefox from www.getfirefox.com

I am using explorer, but I want to solve why IE is not working, not replace my browser. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hi NoJolt,

    Welcome to the BBS.

Have you tried a System Restore to a time earlier than Saturday?

    nojolt4u - Welcome to the Board :)

I suggest you run System File Scanner ....

Start > Run > type in sfc /scannow note the space and have your XP CD handy. SFC will run and exit without any closing dialogue. To see which files, if any, have been replaced look in Event Viewer.

Very unwise to turn off the firewall :(

Nope, didnt record any errors. So here's what I determined, Sat windows auto update downloaded the new anti spyware software. That was the root cause of the issuel. I rolled back to Friday and denied the update when it tried to update again, and not everything works fine.
