    Hello tyler,

i have nothing on my hard drive and it will not let me boot windows xp from a disc
I'm assuming that you want to install XP.

Do you have the cdrom as the first boot device in the BIOS? Set C as the second boot device, save, exit, and re-boot. Place the XP cd on the cdrom drive before trying to bootup.

If that's not the problem - although I think it is because you say there isn't anthing on the HD, then enter NTDLr into the search at the top of this page - lots of hits.

    Regards - Charles

    Hello aggletonm,

Until tyler posts back, we're not going to know. That's one of the annoyances of doing this.

If it is saying NTLDR IS MISSING OR CORRUPTED,

Then quite possibly it is from a faulty ram stick,
try a different stick that should solve the problem.
