Network places hanging on host PC ?

Hi again,

I've got my 2 XP Pro PC's connected and swapping files etc and both using AOL via AnalogX on a crossover cable - so far ok!

The client PC runs superbly showing all my network places and both PC's under 'workgroups' - however the host PC will not open any shared folders when in 'My Network Places' and hangs if I click on the 'View workgroup computers' shortcut.

If I try to access the workgroup PC's through 'entire network' in explorer that hangs as well although I can access all my shared files here ??

Any ideas?

This networking is an absolute looney tune !!

Yep - simple file sharing on both PC's.

Did try it with this switched this off originally but went back to simple.

Problem back again - 'workgroup' PC's will not open in Network places or only the host PC shows up.

Can share files though and internet ??

Client PC fine,
