In my address book I deleted some old addresses. The addresses are gone but at the very top are 4-5 folders icons. All I can do is highlight them.........have no options when I right click. How do I delete these folder icons?
    Thank You.......... :)

I will have to pay more attention to my reply, because my reply is nowhere to be seen. My answer was too detailed, but On rereading your question, I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean that you want to delete items on the toolbars. Please, give names of some of the icons.
But, if you mean the toolbars, and you don't want to see them, they can be hidden, from View| uncheck whichever one you don't like.

    Will try to explain better.
In your address book you have little folder icon....then it looks like this next to the folder: Peg......Peggy@so&so.com............I have deleted the addresses but can't get rid of the folder icon just before the Peg.

No bell is ringing. I will try to enter what I had in my original post.
The Address Book, as brought shows a couple of toolbar, and below them, On the left a narrower band, with the Address book header. Below that I have Personal, Collected and whatever other name I choose. On the right, the specific address (Cards), for the Address Book which is highlighted. You cannot see addresses which belong to other address books.
Just for the heck of it, I enter File|New|Address Book and wrote Peg. And that is deletable.
So, where is what you describe? I have no idea what you are describing.

It's the little folder icon next to the name......I can delete the name and email addy that goes with it, but not the folder that was next to it.

    Peggy,

    Do this for me:

Close Mozilla, and open Windows Explorer. Navigate to your *.slt folder, and
back up the abook.mab file, which is your Address Book

    Next:
open the abook.mab file in Wordpad.

Look for any obvious signs of corruption, such as long lines, blank spaces or binary garbage like this:
    õ0OZ¬¬ÃŠÃ¡®ÃŽÅ½ÃPsTG¼{êAð†`÷ oOáÑZHoqâmâ€Ã¦â„¢¿

This is most likely to appear at the end of the Address Book file.
    If found, delete the lines
Click on File | Save, and close the Address Book

Now open the Address Book, and see if the icons are gone.
