When I boot or restart my Windows 2000 Professional System, I get the following error on a window. I always respond 'CLOSE'

    16 bit windows subsystem

    SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\VIRTUALDEVICEDRIVERS VDD

Virtual Device Driver format in the registry is invalid.

    Chose 'CLOSE' to terminate application.

I have applied SP1 & SP2 from Microsoft update web page for Windows 2000 Professional.

How do I edit the registry and correct the error?

    Jim
