    New Sound Card

I have just installed a new Sound Card on a new motherboard. I also installed
a new modem card and it worked, but I haven't had any sound yet. When I dial-up, I hear all those noises, but when I plugged my speakers into the new
Sound Card, I don't hear anything, including a CD that I put in the new CD Player that I also installed. Can someone help solve this no sound problem please? Thank you.
    Erar66.

I have split your last post to a new thread - different problem :)
You may have plugged the speakers into the wrong socket on the sound card - the green socket is generally the line out.

If you have powered speakers are they connected to the power supply and is it switched on?

Have you installed the drivers/software for the sound card? and have you connected the audio cable between the CD-ROM and the sound card?

Also, if your mobo has on-board audio go to bios and disable it.
