    Hi all,

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to ask for help, since it's probably not a problem related to my OS but my graphicscard.

I have a problem where my screen gets all messed up, it only occurs when I'm gaming (happens on different games). Since a week it happens regularly but randomly. When I shut down the game the screen is still messed up but not entirely, and when I reboot it is gone.

Here are two screenshots of the in-game view, one while playing the game Fifa 2004 and one playing Mafia. If it is required I'll also make a screenshot of the view on my desktop after it happens again.

    My specs:

    Phoenix-AwardBiOS v. 6.00 Motherboard
    Intel Celeron 2.40 Ghz CPU
    768 MB of DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9550 256 MB L2 cache graphicscard (with standard driver installed)
    OS: XP Pro SP2

    Thanks in advance

Did you update the vid card drivers right before this started?

Nope, I installed the driver that came with the box and didn't update it after that. It's been about 4 months ago when I installed the card + driver. The problem just started occurring about two weeks ago.

Sure wouldn't hurt to update the drivers. They could have gone south. And, chances are the one in the box is real old.

OK thanks, I'll try that and report back in a few days after gaming some more.

Sorry for double-posting, but I figured I'd bump this thread up again as I didn't receive replies for this week. The problem I have is still occuring occasionally. :(

You might look on the web sites\support section where the games came from. Maybe these are known problems.
