hello there, I don't know whether if there is a virus that stops animation for displaying..but whenever I go to a website with animations with it the browser only displays still images. That goes to all my other browsers as well.
    Any solution to this?

Maybe I'm not specific enough..but this is all I can share.
From what I know in my advance tab all is checked..I've allowed images to be displayed..too bad FireFox doesn't have Display Animations checklist :/
    Help me out here

    Thanks.

Can you post a web page with the ani's that won't move?

When you get to the page, does FF give you a notice that a plugin is required? If it is quicktime? Shockwave flash?

    Eli,
what does this mean: That goes to all my other browsers as well.

It seems, from that statement that you problem is with other browsers, beside FF. You must be missing something, as the other guy said. Animation, which I detest in ads, is Shockwave Flash controlled. If you have a picture, right click on in it, and tell us what you see.

    Sorry for the late reply,
I could not solve this problem at all,and what I meant for "that goes for all my other browsers" is, IE,Opera,AvantBrowser.
Okay I don't know why but certain animations like ADS work, but animations like this : http://www.animationlibrary.com/a-l/?n=image.php3&image_id=2057
And the whole website animations don't work for me

Elisha, the website does not promise animation, but rather .gif files which are animated. In fact, they give directions on downloading, by a pretty standard method, i.e. right click on the image|save link target as. You can select the desktop for easier access. The file will open with your default viewer, and, show a lot of bull. This is not a Flash animation, as I mentioned before. Flash animations would open, although not in my browsers.

Good to know that it worked, but this is another example where one program affects another, and, I would have never guessed it, with additional information or knowledge about possible variables. I have Zone Alarm Free, and there is no such option.
That is why I always check auxialiary programs, and their effect. But, I should have known when I saw the earlier reply that all browsers were affect that other program was doing the blocking.
Interestingly, the link provided on April 22 works on a Firefox 1.0.4 nighly, as well as other browsers, if I select rightclick|copy link location, but did not if I selected just Copy of the link. I just noticed that the specific link was not shown. Only this part: http://www.animationlibrary.com/a-l/ was entered. Enough for the site, but omitting the specific link, in all browsers. You learn something everyday!
