How to install Windows XP

    I have an old computer Compaq iPaq model which doesn't have any removeble drives , only HDD & network connection , I m looking for some advice how to install windows XP on a machine like this.

    Does the PC have a operating system on it at the moment? If it does you could possibly install it over a network. Im not sure myself so will be interesting if anyone has a idea. Also its not like CD drives are expensive.

    There isn't any operting system since it's a new HDD.

    Ok. Do you have another PC, you could partition the disk, copy the cd files to the HDD then boot to DOS from a floppy, then install XP to the other partition

    Thank's cbudden I can do that but I m not sure instalation CD will run from HDD partition.

    You don't ;)

    You run winnt.exe from the I386 directory.

    Shouldn't give you any problems.

    Thank's Arie , it's not a pocket pc , it's true that there r new pocket pc's similar to the Plam's but this is a Pentium III smal computer compact size , It's my 3rd computer at my network , the benefit from him is there is no ventilator on top of the processor & 0 noice while computer is working.
