My dad recently bought Windows Server 2003 and ever since some of the animation on the computer does not work. Whats worse is that I can't play any games on the computer know :(. I did a little reasearch and found that the problem lay in the video driver. My dad believes there might not be one out for Windows Server 2003. I am using the RADEON 7000 SERIES driver version 6.14.10.6497. Is it possible that this needs to be upgraded to play the games? If so where can I find a website that suppies the latest version to download? Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

Hi QuickFingers and welcome. I changed your title a bit to reflect the problem rather than just saying what hardware. Should get better looks this way and be more useful to anyone later searching for an answer to a similar problem.

I get an impression from your post that things did work to some extent and now do not. Is that the case? If so, could you give details please.

Also, which card version do you have? It will be either AGP or PCI and 32 or 64 megs of memory (and even the 64 is minimal for games).

AFAIK there aren't any 2003 drivers for the card and you probably have the XP version. Might be worth asking ATI about that since they don't list ANY 2003 drivers for any of their products.

    Hey,

I faced this problem before, and here whats you have to do:

In the Run dialog box type : dxdiag
Chose display tab, then enable the "DirectDraw Acceleration ", "Direct3D Acceleration ", And "AGP Texture Acceleration" , and press the test button to test the settings.

Also its recommended almost to update Video Card driver.

    Regards,

I am having the same problem I have a pci all-in-wonder radeon 7500 with 64mb of memory. I have tried all the updated drivers and I have tried the dxdaig fix no luck with either of them. So I thought maybe it's the video card so I reverted back to my onboard video card and no luck still no animation. It is not really a big deal as the graphics are fine it's just a little bit irritating that it's not working as it should.

    Thanks for any help
