    Hi, I have just installed the trial version of Dreamweaver MX, but when I open the program, I get a runtime error message and Dreamweaver closes.

    Does anyone have any ideas what can be causing this? I have tried to search various forums, but can't seem to find anything specific to this example. What info can I provide to help you assist me in this area?

    Thanks for any help you can offer.

    OS = XP

    I'd seen that link, but it doesn't apply to my problem.
    Thanks anyway.

    What is the exact error message?
    Have a look at Event Logs/Applications

    I cannot find any event log for this error. The error message I get when i try to launch the application is just simply that the application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

    It could be that the runtimes on your computer are corrupted, or at least one of them is.
