I recently installed Win XP Pro as an upgrade to Win 2000 Pro.

I have a USB 2.0 Card reader and a USB 2.0/Firewire Port that are now running slow. I assume that they are running on USB 1.1 speed.

I use the Card reader to take pics off of memory cards from digital camera's and the USB Port for the iPod and other USB devices. The firewire port seems to be running up to normal speed.

They are both plugged into USB 2.0 ports on the motherboard and the card reader was running very fast with Win 2000 Pro.

Any ideas on what I can do to get them back up to speed?
    THANKS!
    John

Have you updated your motherboard chipset drivers?

If you don't know what your motherboard is download and run Everest
