I have heard several places that to solve some installation problems it is possible to copy the W2K install cd to the hard disk and install from there. I hate to display my ignorance, but must ask since you can not autorun how do you get the system to install since it must run under windows or self install enough windows to run? Thanks for any recommendations.

Win2k and XP can be installed after booting off a win98 floppy. (shouldn't have too, but you can)

Boot off the floppy with cd support
(can fdisk and format if needed)
Copy the files off the cd to the drive
Change directory to where you copied the cd
    Change to the I386 folder
**Type winnt to start the installation**
Really need to find a copy of SMARTDRV.exe and launch it prior to launching winnt. Otherwise the install will go REAL slow.

Thank you very much I always had wondered how that was done. I will be sure to get the other file and run it first. :)
