Minor matter. I just upgraded WinXP Home to WinXP Pro. The fonts (icons, menu, etc.) were all changed. I was able to get most back by right clicking Desktop|Appearance tab. But the place to change the Taskbar font eludes me. Any ideas?

Go to the advanced tab on the appearance page.

Rockster2U--What item from the "Item" dropdown box do you suggest I change on that page? That is where I changed the other settings.

Not certain, but it may be the same as Window Title.

TonyT--Unfortunately, that does not seem to be it. Whatever it is also affects the font in the Start|All Programs list.
Strange, I have been able to find all other functions' fonts.

Used to be Active title bar changed both title bar and taskbar fonts but I haven't played around with this in XP. Am assuming its still the same.

To change the size of the icons on the taskbar, right-click the desktop, choose Properties, and click the Appearance tab. (In Windows XP, click the Advanced button as well.) Choose Caption Buttons from the Item list.

Lower or raise the number in the Size box--but keep in mind that some icons, such as those used by firewalls and other network software, provide useful information, so make sure you can see them. And if you're thinking of going gigantic, you should know that not all icons scale well, resolution-wise. Making them big also makes them fuzzy. Note that in Windows XP, the Size setting also affects icons on the toolbars you create when you right-click the taskbar and choose an option from the Toolbars menu.

You save a few pixels from Windows XP's taskbar when you lock it. Right-click the taskbar and make sure Lock the Taskbar is checked. This saves a bit of space by removing some draggable borders.
