I am having wireless networking problems (like 1000´s of others)
I have a PC with a wireless network card running windows xp no service pack 2 as this knocks out my internet connection, and a laptop running xp with sp2.
The PC is sharing the internet connection.
The problem is the laptop wont aquire an IP in the 192.168.0 range ( well sometimes it does but not often and normally for no reason) Ive tried setting the IP but then it connects with the PC but wont share the internet connection. Ive run the windows fix for the limited or no conectivity thing but this made no difference.
PLEASE HELP ME I´m going mad !!!!!!

    Hockey,

Do you have encryption on the laptop and the router? If so, take it off and see if your connectivity improves.

Is there a reason you need to go through another PC to access the internet? Have you thought about using a wireless router? This is such and easy solution to networking.

Go to http://www.salescircular.com and see what routers are on sale in your area.
