USB Flash drive locks computer

    Hello,

    I am using a fairly new USB Flash drive 512MB on Win 98 SE, I have installed the drivers fine. The problem I have is that every now and then- when I copy certain files it hangs and locks up the computer.

    I have tried looking up the USB pen drive on the net to little success for a driver update. Any ideas what to do?

    Will it do it all the time on these certain files? What type of files are they? Are they files that might be in sure?

    It seems to be totally random, one day it will work fine and the next it will hang. Any ideas?

    I find that my USB mini drive is a bit slow when opening and saving files. Perhaps you are trying to copy too much at once.

    Could this be the cause of the hanging? because I can do this on my faster XP machine and do not have this problem.
