Change default number of recent docs

I would like to change the number of recent documents listed in the My Recent Documents drop down list on the Start Menu. I have done exhaustive search on the MS Windows XP knowledge base, and all I can find is that the default number is 15 (true, in my case). But, it does not explain how to change that default setting.

Can anyone explain to me how to change that setting?

Start>Run>gpedit.msc
To get into the group policy editor.

Change method
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Maximum number of recent documents>

Group Policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Explorer).
