change the font color on a file name

    how can you change the font color on a file name (bottom of file icon).i found this feature on a older computer but not on the newer ones running windows xp. so any ideals? email me if you have any.

    I'm not sure if this is what you mean....

    Right click on the desktop and choose Properties. Click on the Appearance tab and then click Advanced. From there you can choose the Item and preferred font.
