I have recently added a router and can no longer connect to my home network. All computers on the network can connect to the internet through the router but they are not seeing each other. I previously was using a crossover cable and Internet Connection Sharing between 2 machines but added a 3rd machine and the router and thats when the trouble began. All computers are running XP Home. Any Ideas???

    Hi JBM,

You'll need to use a regular network cable, not a crossover when you connect to the router's LAN port. Make sure you are using the right cable type.

Have you ditched the crossover cable and gone with straight through patch cables for all machines to the router? (Router should have come with one)

JBM, have you turned of ICS? Do all of the machines have a newly assigned IP address from the router?

Thanks for the input guys. I have resolved the problem... it was a firewall issue.
