    Hello all;
    I have a laptop with Windows XP (home) installed. When I boot up in safe mode with network, the LAN works fine. I can get onto the internet. However when I boot up in regular mode, internet doesnt work. LAN still seems to be connected (IP address is shown). I figured that one of the programs running may hinder the network problem, so I uninstalled all of the suspected programs and deleted most of the data files in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/microsoft/windows/Run.

    Although the LAN seems connected, I cannot ping from command promt.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mr. Chicagotech;

    Thanks for your reply. I did follow that troubleshooting page to every word. After all has done, I tried running the netdiag /test:winsock again and every other test passed except "netBT Transport Test: Fail. [FATAL] Unable to retrieve transport list from Redir. [NERR_WkstaNotStarted]

    Any idea what to do next??

    Thank you so much for your help!

    -TS
