My spouse's W98 computer died a gruesome death and is being replaced with a WinXP SP2 AMD Athlon 3000 Notebook.

She is a dedicated AOL (4.0) user and has a Zip Disk full of e-mail and addresses so is keen on being able to incorporate them back into a new AOL setup. They are contained in a copied AOL Folder named ORGANIZE.

My problem is whether AOL 4.0 can be run on XP SP2 or what version of AOL (9.0?) would run on her new system.

I'm trying to make a decision as to the best install prior to actually doing it!

Actually, if it was my choice I would scrap using AOL at all!

    HELP!

Agree with your sentiments re. AOL :D

Your spouse requires 7.0 or higher with XP - see here - I would go with 9.0.

    AOL on WinXP Pro SP2

    Thanks!

Loaded AOL 9.0 and everything works just fine. No mods required. Relief!
