    hi im running on windows xp home and in privious history we have had a worm on the system and it had to be reset to factory settings but this has seemed to affected ot since we need to remove one of the users on the system but when we try this it says not responding we have tryed this serveral times for long pariods we have not got windows xp home disks only recovary disks could anyone say what is up and how to fix this preferd free but if not cheap thanks hope to hear from you soon

    Boot into Safe Mode, Adminstrator account. You should be able to remove the problem account there. Just don't play around in the Administrator account. It has control over everything and anything and may let you do stuff you'll regret later. :)

    To boot into Safe Mode, repeatedly press and release the F8 key while the computer is booting up. That should get you to the boot menu where you can choose Safe Mode.

    It will display the Administrator account at the Welcome screen. Click on it and if it hasn't been passworded (most people don't password that account), leave the password field blank and press the Enter key.

    Once the user account has been deleted in Safe Mode, just reboot to get back to normal mode.
