Computer won't boot from floppy....

    If a computer that has a bootable floppy in the drive and during power on, it goes right past the floppy drive without booting, could that indicate the motherboard is bad? In the BIOS it is set to boot from the floppy.

    On start up, can you see the light on the floppy drive light up at all?
    In the BIOS is it set to boot from the floppy "1st" ?

    Found out the person who owns this computer has never used the floppy in over 2 years. It was packed with dust so its no wonder it would not work.
