    Hello!

    Here is the "short" story:

I had a network working (OK, it took a while but I finally got it). The "Main" computer (and the laptop when hooked up) use WIN 98 SE. The other computer used WIN 95.

I then got a new (better, faster, etc.) computer (WIN 98 SE). It replaced the "old" WIN 98 SE computer. All (finally) was well...

Then I replaced the WIN 95 computer with the "old" WIN 98 SE. I can RARELY if ever get info sent TO the "old" WIN 98 even though it worked great when it was the "main" computer (the WIN 95 computer is NOT hooked into the network but when I do unplug the "old" WIN 98 SE and plug in the WIN 95 computer it still works fine).

I have set and reset settings (IP address on each computer in now set instead of set to "auto ") but no luck. NetBIOS / NetBEUI / etc. etc. I have re-installed WIN 98 SE on BOTH computers (not the laptop but it is only connected when nessesary to transfer files with a PCMCIA card).

    What do I do now??????

This may ir may not apply but it reads like the same problem I had when I moved my old PC to replace may Wife's machine and forgot to change the names.

The Network does not seem to like two PCs with the same name.

I changed the name form Bob to Nancy and all was well.

But don't forget to change both the PC and the User names.

    Hey, BillyBob!

I wish it were that easy, but all the computers have different names.

Unless maybe I should re-name the "old" computer anyway because it WAS the "main" computer (The #1 slot on the Hub) and now its' not.
