Tracked this down to the firewall software. Not sure how to fix it yet though?

    Thanks Joe,
I followed your instructions and it prompted me to allow something (it was 3:30am and no coffee yet) and I said yes and so far the error's gone?

    Thanks Again

    Spoke to soon,
I searched the registry for the string (BC866CF2-5486-41F7-B46B-9AA49CF3EBB1) and this is what it came up with "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppFilter.AppFilterSvr" Which is the firewall after all. I'm somewhat confused as what to do next? I tried adding the "User: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE" but it won't let me?

    What next Joe?
    Thanks
    Rockit

as a quick fix, try adding 'everyone' to the permissions.

This looks like a case of the firewall not being sp2 compliant. NETWORK SERVICE had its permissions locked down in sp2, so you cant do what you used to be able to...

Hmm. i can tell by the error message you did in fact make a change, but still the error... Can you get a screen shot of your config, similar to what i did to show your permissions you have set now for Everyone. Grab each of the tabs, lets see what else might need a tune up

Maybe I selected the wrong one.

    Thanks

The broken one that has a GUID matching the event log errors.
