I was reformatting and installing Win XP on a friends computer. I was using his HP Recovery Disk. He wanted only himself on the computer. As I went along doing the install, and after installing Windows, and started installing some other programs, it all of a sudden rebooted up to the Welcome screen, and of course you have to click on the person's name button, before it will finally go into Windows.

Before this, it was rebooting straight up to Windows without any Welcome stop to click on the button. I don't know what I did to cause this, but I would like to have the computer boot straight up to Windows again.

How do I do this ?

    Thanks, Paul

I use TweakXP to set to auto-login. I am sure there is a way to do it in Windows too.

You can use TweakUI to do it. In TweakUI, click the plus next to logon and then click on autologon. Put a check in the box where it says log on automatically, put your username in the box and leave the password blank if you don't use one.
