A friend is sending me various short messages. When I receive them sometimes all I see in the body is ÿþ< --- We both have Outlook Express 6.0 & all upgrades. I'm on Win2K & he's using XP SP2

    Hi Bnewman

    something you could try:

select one of these messages, choose "Properties ", go to the "details" tab and you should see a button "View Message Source "

if you click that (maximise the window the source appears in!) you might well see what he's written (scroll down). Or again, you might not...

post back with what you get, pls...

    best wishes, HJ
