It's a hidden file named boot.ini and located in the root of C: In XP, you can view/edit the boot.ini file by right clicking My Computer and selecting properties, then advanced tab, click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery section, click edit under startup options.

    Its in C partition/drive - not in a folder.

Two ways to look at it:

Thru the Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery, and click the Edit button in the System Startup section.

Or change folder view to display hidden system files and double click, it'll open with Notepad.

    Regards - Charles

I thought so... BTW, you can also look at it by going to Start->Run and typing MSConfig and then enter. Look at the boot.ini tab.
