I'm trying to get some pictures off a digital camera and for some reason I'm not having any luck.

I plug the camera into the computer's usb port and it say's it found it but when I go to My Computer it's not listed there. It is listed in Device Manager.

    Any Idea's?
    Thanks

Please post the make and model of your camera.

Some cameras, like my Minolta, do not need drivers. They are recognized by the OS right away. It may be that you need drivers.

I also highly recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 for managing and editing your photos. Get it if you don't already have it.

Try opening My Pictures and in the left pane you should have a 'Get Pictures from scanner or camera' option listed under 'Picture Tasks'.

    Thanks,
I did a reinstall of the operating system and all's well. I didn't have to install any drivers. Canon S1 IS.
I'm sure I'll have other issues as I go along but the usb is working fine for now.

    Thanks Again
