What have you installed or uninstalled lately?

While there are a few other programs that will use createcd50.exe, I am familiar with this being a file used by ezcd creater. If you use such see:
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showpost.php?p=186133&postcount=4
But you may wish to try a slight twist of the above advice before doing this. If the folder that holds createcd50.exe has a mfc42.dll file in it, rename this one. Reboot and see if Easycd stills yelps it's error.

Could also try visiting roxio's support site and seeing if there are patches or updates or known problems with your version of Easy CD.

    You could also try this:
    From the startbutton runline type:
    regsvr32 mfc42.dll and hit enter

or you may have to include the path
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system\mfc42.dll

    -------
It's a version problem and createcd50.exe wants or expects a different version (older or newer) of the mfc42.dll than is registered. Just keep in mind that any extras you find should be renamed rather than deleted. That way you can reverse any problems you may have.

A Googles look see if this is Easy CD related: (but I would suggest that Adaptec or Roxio or what ever the support site name is, to be the better reference/resource to use to figure this out)

hi again i found that another one of my programs had the same problem as the first one so when i removed that one & re-insalled it opened up fine so i tried roxio again & thats fine now too so i assume that the other programme installed the missing files ? but anyhow every thing seems ok :)
thanks again for your help .

You needn't put it anywhere. What you have downloaded is like a Winzip executable, where it unpacks itself. Then you run the unzipped file like any other installation program.
