Windows Media Player, opens, plays file for a bit, and then blanks out

    Hi guys!

    I remember it's been a short while since my last computer problem! I'm hoping you can help me with this one: :D

    Everytime I open my Windows Media Player 10, and play a video file, it will play the file for a little bit with both video and audio and then the video with black out and all i'll hear is the sound. it happens with any file that opens with windows media player, should i reinstall it? Or is there a setting i have to change? :confused: :eek: :rolleyes:

    Take a detailed look at DirectX on your PC.

    Click on start, on run, key in DxDiag, click OK.

    Click on the Display tab and then the Test Direct Draw button.
